Obituary of Louetta Mae Smith

Louetta Mae Smith, age 89, of Coweta passed away on Tuesday evening, February 14, 2017 at the Clarehouse in Tulsa, OK. Louetta was born on September 27, 1927 to Raymond L. and Tina (Griffin) Phillips in Gravette, AR. She and Lee Roy Smith were married for 50 years and he preceded her in death in 2001. Louetta was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, bowling, square dancing, baking, working puzzles, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Louetta was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Louetta is survived by 2 daughters, Pattie McCarty and Linda Dickson; 2 sons, JD Smith and wife, Cherie and Wayne Smith and wife, Teri; 1 brother, Carl L. Phillips and wife, Karen; 10 grandchildren, Kevin Smith and wife (Amy), Mike Smith and wife (Rachel), Steve Dickson, Tina Smith, Stacie Foster and husband (Greg), Travis Smith, Christy Counsil and husband (JP), Lindsay McCarty, Tanner Smith and Danny McCarty; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. A private family service for Louetta will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Steven Dickson, Dylan Dickson, Auston Foster, Caleb Foster, Travis Smith, Tanner Smith, Jacob Counsil, Kevin Smith, Daniel McCarty and Ben McCarty.
