Obituary of Stephen Clark Fleming
Stephen Clark "Steve" Fleming, age 68, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 18, 2016 in Jay, OK. Steve was born on March 18, 1948 to James Clark and Juanita Ethel (Price) Fleming in Miami, OK. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Vietnam War and received the Bronze Star. Steve married Kaye (Davis) Fleming on January 22, 1988 in Eureka Springs, AR. He became a member of Rhema Bible Church in 2012 and served as an assistant leader with Rhema Rangers for 3 years. He retired from the Tulsa Ford Glass Plant and was currently employed for L.E.I./Layco Electric Innovations. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and woodworking. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and loved them unconditionally.
Steve is survived by his wife, Kaye Fleming of the home in Coweta, OK; 4 children, Darin Lee Fleming and wife Danielle, of Charles Town, WV; Stephanie Denise Smith of Van Buren, AR; Alana Kaye Pearson of Ft. Smith, AR; Darren Wade Shibley and wife Lisa, of Coweta, OK; 1 brother, Joe Fleming and wife Cheryl, of Piedmont, OK; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, James and Juanita Fleming, his son, Stephen Charles Fleming, his step-mother, Gaynelle Fleming, 2 brothers, Theodore Wood and James Fleming and 1 sister, Teresa Marino.
Viewing will be from 9 AM - 8 PM on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 PM. Services celebrating Steve's life will be at 10 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the Chapel at Rhema Bible Church in Broken Arrow, OK with Pastor Marcus Rolle and Pastor Bill Ray officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, OK. Pallbearers are Darren Shibley, Darin Fleming, Josiah Shibley, Wayne Shibley, David Beller and Ryan Watson. Honorary Pallbearers are John Alexander, Ed Dwyar, Vince Keathley, Greg Budnik, Larry Rice, Perry Shockley, Wayne Rickman, and Wayne Burris.
