Obituary of John P. Cowden

John P. Cowden, age 54, of Coweta passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at St. John Hospital in Broken Arrow, OK. John was born on October 9, 1962 to John Burton Cowden and Peggy Laverne (Meadows) McIntosh in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a graduate of Coweta High School. John was a Bus Driver for the Indian Capital Technology Center until he retired. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, watching sports, camping, traveling and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. John is survived by his father, John Burton Cowden; 2 sons, Kyle Cowden and Chad Honeycutt; his step-father, Charles Robert McIntosh; 3 sisters, Kim Cowden of Tulsa, OK, Suzanne Cowden-Earnest of Oklahoma City, OK and Karen McCalib of Jonestown, TX; 2 brothers, Chip McIntosh of Coweta, OK and Lance McIntosh of Edmond, OK; 2 grandchildren, Ashton Cowden and Mackinzie Cowden; and other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his mother. A memorial service celebrating John's life will be at 11 AM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK.
