I'm saddened to read of the man I knew and loved as Uncle LeRoy. I spent so man happy summer days and holidays on the farm owed by Grandpa Gardner. My mom was his step sister but that didn't matter we were all family. One of my favorite memories of Uncle LeRoy was when we were fishing at Johnson's pond. He was using a bow to hunt rough fish at the time. A cotton mouth snake started toward my dad, who was physically disabled, and Uncle LeRoy shot the snake before it could get to my dad. Thank you Uncle LeRoy and much love as you're reunited with family in heaven.
