Obituary of Dorothy Orcutt
Dorothy Maye Louise (Wooten) Orcutt, age 72, of Stone Bluff, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday afternoon, December 24, 2008 at her daughter’s residence in Broken Arrow. She was born on January 1, 1936 in Moyers, Oklahoma to Carl and Lorene (Richardson) Wooten. Dorothy attended school at Moyers and Antlers. She and Robert “Bob” Dean Orcutt were united in marriage on October 25, 1954 in Hugo, Oklahoma and he later preceded her in death on June 11, 2006. Dorothy was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, reading, taking care of her family and playing with her grandchildren. Dorothy will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Bob Orcutt, her parents, Carl and Lorene Wooten, 3 brothers, Jim, Donnie, and Bob Wooten, and 1 infant daughter, Lisa Lynn. She is survived by 1 son, Robert D. Orcutt and his wife, Beth, of Coweta; 2 daughters, Paula Coleman and her husband, Wayne, of Broken Arrow and Eydie Lovelace and her husband, Bob, of Coweta; 2 brothers, Bill and Mike Wooten, both of California; 1 sister, Betty White of Colorado; 6 grandchildren, Britney Gilbert and her husband, Justin, Brandy Burrow and her husband, Wade, Amber Kelley and her husband, Craig, Brooke Coleman, Matthew Orcutt, and Michael Orcutt; 6 great grandchildren, Ian Lennon Burrow, Hope Marie Gilbert, Faith Olivia Gilbert, Justin David Gilbert, Cassidy Lane Burrow, and Daniel Brian Gilbert; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church in Coweta with Rev. Sam Burnett officiating. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Stone Bluff. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home, Coweta.
