Obituary of Susan Mitchell

Susan Victoria Mitchell, age 59, of Coweta, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, February 11, 2008 at her home. Susan was born on November 1, 1948 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Leonard Lee and Mary Edith (Everhart) Davis. She received her education in the Fort Gibson, Oklahoma school system and graduated from Fort Gibson High School in 1966. She then attended Northeastern State University for two years. Susan and Morris Mitchell were married in Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1972. She came to the Coweta, Oklahoma area in 1993 from Hennessey, Oklahoma. Susan worked in the manufacturing business as a clerical worker. She was a member of the Central Assembly of God Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Her hobbies included sewing, painting, and crocheting. She also enjoyed shopping. Survivors include one son, Gregory Wayne Mitchell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Judy Brown of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Janet Barnett of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Debbie Simpson of Stone Bluff, Oklahoma; one grandchild, Alaina Mitchell of Coweta, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. David Jones officiating.
