Obituary of Beverly Johnson

Beverly Johnson, age 71, of Coweta passed from this life on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Beverly was born on March 15, 1936 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Louis J. and Helen (Tigerstrom) Dozier. She received her education in the Kermit, Texas school system. She also attended nursing school for two years. She and H. T. Johnson were united in marriage in November 1951 in Odessa, Texas. Beverly worked as a nurse for Dr. Jon Calvert at O.U. Medical School for ten years until her retirement in 2002. Her hobbies included knitting and she also loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, H. T., of the home; three sons, Larry Johnson and his wife, Connie, of Frisco, Texas, Jimmy L. Johnson and his wife, Terry, of Maricopa, Arizona, and Howard Johnson of the home; one brother, Harold Dozier of Tulsa; six grandchildren, Keith Johnson, James Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Jacoby Johnson, Ryan Johnson, and Chad Johnson; and two great grandchildren, Ellianna and Kaiden. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2007 at Vernon Cemetery with Rev. Larry McDonald officiating.
