Obituary of Kenneth Wilson

Kenneth W. Wilson of Porter passed away on Monday, July 30, 2007 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was 44 years old. Kenneth was born on August 9, 1962 in Iola, Kansas to Martin L. and Alice F. (Chriestenson) Wilson. He received his education in the Texarkana, Arkansas school system and graduated from Texarkana High School in 1980. He and Rebecca Tefteller were united in marriage on July 19, 1991 in Fouke, Arkansas. They came to the Porter area from McAlester, Oklahoma in 2006. Kenneth owned and operated Ken's Tree Service for three years. He also worked as a logger for many years. He was a member of the Oneta Holiness Church in Coweta and was ordained in the Bible Holiness Fellowship. He enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca of the home; three sons, Kenson Wilson, Logan Wilson, and Caden Wilson, all of the home; one daughter, Allison Wilson of the home; his parents, Martin and Alice Wilson of Texarkana, Arkansas; one brother, Van Wilson of Texarkana, Arkansas; two half brothers, Dennis Moses of San Antonio, Texas and Marvin Doyle Wilson of Texarkana, Texas; four sisters, Theresa Haltom of Wake Village, Texas, Tynah West of Norfolk, Virginia, Lisa Elmore of Caddo Gap, Arkansas, and Crystal Gainey of Texarkana, Arkansas; one half sister, Judy Parker of Palistine, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Clearview Baptist Church in Broken Arrow with Reverend Daryl Brewer, Reverend Lloyd Shuecraft, Rev. Hal Haltom, and Reverend Ben Shaw officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the Oneta Holiness Church in Coweta. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Coweta.
