Obituary of Nancy Myers

Nancy M. Myers of Coweta passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at her home. She was 63 years old. Nancy was born on October 22, 1943 in Richards Landing, Ontario, Canada to Evan and Mabel Laura (Gjos) McClelland. She received her education and graduated from high school in Canada. Nancy later attended Tulsa Junior College and received an associates degree in accounting. She and Donald Myers were married on May 6, 1966 in San Mateo, California. They came to the Coweta area in 1969 from California. They later divorced. Nancy worked as an accountant for Lenaer Film. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, and doing arts and crafts. Survivors include one son, Donald Myers, II of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter Tanya Myers of Prue, Oklahoma; one brother, Morton McClelland of Willowdale, Ontario, Canada; six sisters, Olga Kennedy of Richards Landing, Ontario, Canada, Elizabeth Redman of St. Joseph Island, Ontario, Canada, Jane Maitland of Desbarats, Ontario, Canada, Pat Hertz of McHennon, Ontario, Canada, Carol White of Richards Landing, Ontario, Canada, and Linda Beacock of Richards Landing, Ontario, Canada; two grandchildren, Jordan Myers and Kathleen Myers; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Jones officiating.
