Obituary of Brenda West

Brenda Joyce West of Coweta passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at her home with her loving family at her side. She was 56 years old. Brenda was born on June 21, 1951 in Jackson, Kentucky to Raymond J. and Golden (Center) Cox. She received her education in the Cincinnati, Ohio school system and graduated from high school in 1968. Brenda came to Oklahoma from Cincinnati in 1982. She and Rod West were united in marriage on January 17, 1987 in Coweta, Oklahoma. Brenda worked as a financial representative /service advisor for Independent Financial Services for 20 years. She was also a homemaker. Her hobbies included cross stitching, boating, collecting, and computers. She also loved being with her family. Survivors include her husband, Rod of the home; one son, Damon Caldwell and his wife, Tammi, of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Chassie Cox of Coweta; four step-sons, Michael West of Bixby, David West of Tulsa, Greg West of Wagoner, and Doug West of Antlers, Oklahoma; her mother, Golden Cox of Coweta; her father, Ray Cox of Lubbock, Texas; one brother, Kenny Cox of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Karla Harden of Kentucky; six grandchildren, Keegan Cox, Caitlin Caldwell, Gabrielle Caldwell, Skylar West, Bailey West, and Gabriel West; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2007 at the First Assembly of God Church in Coweta with Rev. Gary Rogers officiating.
