Obituary of David L. Bowers

David L. Bowers, age 79, resident of Coweta passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at his home in Coweta, OK. David was born on June 7, 1937 to John Wesley and Gladys Irene (Mannon) Bowers in Ft. Gibson, OK. He married Pearlie Guss on July 10, 1957 in Greenville, MS. David worked at GC Broach Company as a foreman for many years until he retired in 1986. He enjoyed working on cars and fishing. David was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. David is survived by his wife, Pearlie Bowers; 2 daughters, Carol Foster and Patricia Flores and husband, Louis; 4 sons, Leon Bowers, Tommy Bowers, Doug Bowers and Joe Bowers and wife, Jeanie; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Viewing for David will be from 12-7 PM on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the funeral home. Services celebrating David's life will be at 1 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Shahan Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Jerry "Hoot" Bowers, Buddy Bowers, Scott Robinson, Tommy James, Bobby James and Jeffrey James.
