Obituary of JoAnn Harris

JoAnn Harris, age 81, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday evening, December 19, 2016 at her home in Coweta, OK surrounded by her family. JoAnn was born on August 25, 1935 to Flournoy and Effie May (Hill) Liston in Bristow, OK. She was a 1953 graduate of Coweta High School. JoAnn and Robert "Bob" Harris were married on May 11, 1956 in Miami, OK and he preceded her in death in 1990. She worked as Office Manager at Chick Norton Buick which later became Jim Norton Toyota for 45 years until she retired. She enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, feeding the hummingbirds and spending time with her family. JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Harris, her parents, Flournoy and Effie May Liston, 3 brothers, Fred Liston, Floyd Liston and Jim Liston and 1 sister, Helen Cox. JoAnn is survived by 1 daughter, Rhonda Withers and husband, Kraig of Coweta, OK; 1 son, Ronnie Harris and wife, Beth of Locust Grove, GA; 1 sister, Shirley Posey of Coweta, OK; 3 grandchildren, Keith, Kretia and Devin Bristol; 3 great grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Augustus and Kragen; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services celebrating JoAnn's life will be at 2 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Christian Family Center in Broken Arrow, OK with Pastor James Stone, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Kelly Liston, Jeremy Posey, David Harris, Bob Harris, Eduardo Carmona and Lalito Carmona.
