Obituary of Linda S. Davis

Linda S. "Suzie" Davis, age 69, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday evening, December 13, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. Linda was born on August 1, 1947 to Robert and Lorene (May) Sides in Tulsa, OK. She graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, OK. On June 3, 1965, Linda married Carl Davis, Sr. and they had 3 children, Dr. Carl Davis, Jr., Howard Wayne Davis, and Melinda "Mindy" Davis Stewart. Linda worked as a pharmacy tech at K-Mart for 12 years then at Koweta Indian Health Center for 10 years. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Wagoner, OK. Linda enjoyed attending church, singing and being with her grandchildren and family. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother. Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Carl Davis, Sr.; 2 sons, Dr. Carl Davis, Jr. and wife Lisa, of Coweta, OK and Howard Wayne Davis of Coweta, OK; 1 daughter, Melinda "Mindy" Stewart and husband, Trayson, of Delaware, OK; 1 sister, Loretta Downs of Yukon, OK; 3 brothers, John Sides, Sr. of Danville, AR, Jim Sides of Mustang, OK, and Joe Sides of Kent WA; 5 grandchildren, Wes Davis, Tyler Wayne Davis, Ben Hogan, Sarah Allen, and Shayleigh Ewers; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 12 - 6 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2016 and 9 AM - 8 PM on Monday, December 19, 2016 at the funeral home with the family present from 6 - 8 PM. Services celebrating Linda's life will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Pastor Jerry Eperson and Pastor Wendell Abbott officiating. Pallbearers are Wes Davis, Tyler Wayne Davis, Ben Hogan, Jared Martin, Dusty Dildine, and James Moran. Honorary pallbearers are Trayson Stewart, Jim Davis, Jerry Davis, Gene Roper, David Cole, John Sides, Jimmie Sides, Joe Sides, Ron Herriman, and JW Collins.
