Obituary of Roger Dean Gilbert

Roger Dean Gilbert, age 69, of Stillwater, OK went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday evening, November 15, 2016 at his home in Stillwater, OK. Roger was born on July 28, 1947 to Roy Herbert and Rosa Lorene (Ketchum) Gilbert in Coweta, OK. He was united in marriage to Kathryn Bench on February 14, 1991. Roger worked as a ranch hand. Roger is survived by his wife, Kathryn Gilbert of Stillwater, OK; 1 son, Daniel Moomey and wife, Angela of Las Vegas, NV; 2 daughters, Crystal Elsom and husband, Steven of Stillwater, OK and Cassie Hastings and husband, Justin of Stillwater, OK; 1 brother, Willie Gilbert and wife, Mildred; 3 sisters, Estlene Sisney, Marion Mashburn and Verna Chadwell; 5 grandchildren, McKayla, Meadow, David, Jakob and Austin; 3 step-daughters, Teresa, Debbie and Judy; and other relatives. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Leroy Gilbert and Kelly Gilbert and 2 sisters, Vaughna Sisney and Norma Mashburn. A memorial service for Roger will be at 11 AM on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Abundant Life Church in Stillwater, OK with Pastor Jonathan Horner officiating.
