Obituary of Betty J. Plunk

Betty J. Plunk, age 85, of Coweta passed away on Monday morning, November 7, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was born on November 3, 1931 to Robert and Dorothy (Williamson) Murdock in Kansas City, MO. Betty married Ira B. Plunk and he preceded her in death in 2000. She enjoyed bowling, reading, going to the lake, camping and she enjoyed spending time with her puppies and family. Betty is survived by 7 children, Freda Pratt of Broken Arrow, OK, Cleon Plunk and wife, Sarah of Broken Arrow, OK, Rebecca Britton and husband, Clay of Langley, OK, Sam Plunk and wife, Janda of Coweta, OK, Doyce Plunk and wife, Mary Lee of Broken Arrow, OK, Eddie Plunk and wife, Patti of Coweta, OK and Dottie Jones and husband, Allan of Coweta, OK; 1 sister, Janet Woodard and husband, Glen of Broken Arrow, OK; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty was a preceded in death by her husband, her parents and 1 brother, Bob Murdock. Viewing will be from 9 AM - 8 PM on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 PM. Services celebrating Betty's life will be at 11 AM on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Our Finest Hour Church in Broken Arrow, OK with Pastor Dan Zirkle officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Nathan Plunk, Blaine Plunk, Toby Plunk, Caleb Plunk, Stephen Plunk, Travis Plunk, Crystal Brumble and Devon Woodruff.
