Obituary of Sylvia J. Rife

Sylvia J. Rife, age 82, of Coweta was born on February 1, 1934 to Verrow Dale and Elmina (Kessler) Lowder in Tulsa, OK. Sylvia passed away on Wednesday morning, August 10, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. She was a graduate of Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, OK. Sylvia married Clem C. Rife on June 29, 1958 in Wagoner, OK and he preceded her in death in 2007. She worked at Hilti as a Quality Control Inspector for many years until she retired. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, cooking and spending time with her family. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and 2 brothers, Verrow Dale Lowder and Jimmy Dale Lowder. Sylvia is survived by 1 daughter, Lisa Bauman and husband, Scott of Chattanooga, TN; 1 son, Kent Rife and wife, Cathy of Coweta, OK; 2 sisters, Zora Ann Moss of Jay, OK and Betty Makhani and husband, Madan Pal Mak of Tulsa, OK; 5 grandchildren, Hannah, Nick, Jacob, Calee and Jonathan; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
