Obituary of Beverly S. Meeks

Beverly S. "Doc" Meeks, age 66, of Porter passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Doc was born on September 28, 1949 to Bill and Jean (Moses) Stirlen in Porter, OK. She married Omer "Butch" Meeks and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2006. Doc worked at The Cole Pit in Porter. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Porter. Doc was preceded in death by her husband and father. Doc is survived by her mother, Jean Stirlen of Porter, OK; 4 children, Michael Williams, Terri Sutton, Jim Smith and Andy Meeks, all of Porter, OK; 1 sister, Pat Bailey and husband, Tom of Carnie, OK; 1 brother, Bub Stirlen of Porter, OK; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Graveside services are scheduled at 10 AM on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK with Rev. Dennis Piearcy officiating.
