Obituary of Glenn Edwin Silvis

Glenn Edwin Silvis, age 47, of Olathe, Kans. was born on April 14, 1969 to Gerald Ray and Shirley Jean (Baughman) Silvis in Okmulgee, Okla. Glenn passed away on Sunday morning, April 24, 2016 in Coweta, Okla. Glenn was a 1988 graduate of Broken Arrow High School. He and Amy Jean Paulson were married on August 1, 1992 and together they raised one daughter, Madison. Glenn worked at Blue Bell Creameries for 23 years and at Central Garden and Pet for the past 2 years. He enjoyed watching TV, reading and listening to audio books, taking care of his lawn and traveling with his family on vacations. He was a hard worker and he loved just spending time with his family. Glenn is survived by his wife, Amy Silvis of the home in Olathe, Kans.; his daughter, Madison Silvis of Olathe, Kans.; his father, Gerald Silvis of Coweta, Okla.; his grandmother, Rebecca Baughman of Woodward, Okla; his brother, Terry Wayne Jacobs and wife, Kim; his sister, Nancy Mendoza and husband, Chris; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Glenn was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Silvis and his grandpa, Gene Baughman. Viewing will be from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the funeral home. Services celebrating Glenn's life will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Okla. with Pastor Allan Swinson officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Okla. Pallbearers are Todd Limke, Chris Swindler, Charles Roberts, Chris Mendoza, Sidney Kile and Chris Barber.
