Obituary of Willis Dean Cantero
Willis Dean Cantero, age 70, of Tulsa, Okla. was born on March 10, 1945 to Delbert Kenneth and Nellie Jane (Anderson) Cantero in Anadarko, Okla. Dean passed away on Wednesday morning, February 10, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla.
Dean was a 1963 graduate of Hollister High School. He worked as a Machinist at Braden Winch for 33 years until he retired. Dean married Geneva Jane Childers on February 27, 1965 and to this union they had 3 sons and they later divorced. He then married Diana (Amrine) Cantero on February 12, 1989 in Tulsa, Okla. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists Union. He enjoyed going to the casino, gardening, fishing and working in the yard.
Dean is lovingly survived by his wife, Diana Cantero of the home in Tulsa, Okla.; 3 sons, Michael Dean Cantero and wife, Sheri of Tahlequah, Okla., John Mark Cantero and wife, Stephanie of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Joseph Mann Cantero and wife, Cindy of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 3 step-children, Michael Bailey of Bixby, Okla., Brian Bailey of Claremore, Okla. and Shawna Ortberg of Tulsa, Okla.; 1 brother, Delbert Paul Cantero and wife, Gerri of Ft. Smith, Ark.; 1 sister, Mary Jane Lawson of Lawton, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Dean was preceded in death by his parents.
Viewing for Dean will be from 12-6 PM on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Funeral services celebrating Dean's life will be at 2 PM on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Okla. with Pastor Allan Swinson officiating. Burial will follow in Springtown Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Okla. Pallbearers are Michael Cantero, John Cantero, Joseph Cantero, Christopher Cantero, Christian Cantero and Brian Bailey.
