Obituary of Jerry Boston

Jerry Boston, age 71, of Coweta, Okla. was born in Tahlequah, Okla. to Thomas Woodrow and Edna Mae (Howell) Boston on August 22, 1944. He married the love of his life, Nancy (Wood) Boston on August 4, 1966 in Coweta, Okla. Jerry passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 2:30 AM at his residence in Coweta, Okla. Jerry was a proud veteran of the Army National Guard serving from 1965 to 1971. He enjoyed fishing, working on his cars, racing, watching Pittsburgh Steelers and OU football and he loved traveling with his wife and grandchildren. He was a Mechanic for over 40 years. Jerry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy Boston of the home in Coweta, Okla.; 1 daughter, Alicia Heineman and husband, Rick of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 1 sister, Deloris Tighe of Parsons, Kan.; 1 brother, Arlie Boston of Turley, Okla.; 6 grandchildren, Derrick, Brittanie, Peiton, Makayla, Ashton and Hunter; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Woodrow and Edna Mae Boston, 1 daughter, Nichole (Boston) Ramsey and 2 brothers, Monroe Boston and Charlie Boston. Viewing will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating Jerry's life will be at 2 PM on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Cedar Ridge Christian Church in Coweta, Okla. with Pastor Ryan Fankhauser officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Okla. Pallbearers are Rick Heineman, Derrick Heineman, David Boston, Mike Sullivan, Ray Bishop and Troy Waldroop. Honorary Pallbearers are Arlie Boston, Hunter Heineman, Monroe Boston, Mike Badley, Mark Sullivan, Duane Sullivan and Dennis Sullivan.
