Obituary of Dan W. Withers

Dan W. Withers, age 83, longtime Coweta resident passed away on Friday afternoon, January 1, 2016 at his home in Coweta, OK. Dan was born on August 12, 1932 to G.W. and Myrtle (Tidwell) Withers in Cheyenne, OK. He was a 1951 graduate of Coweta High School. Dan worked in Construction for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and growing tomatoes. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Francis Morrow and 4 brothers, Harry Withers, Frank Withers, John Withers and Walt Withers. Dan is lovingly survived by 2 sons, Kirk Withers and wife Terry of Coweta, OK and Kraig Withers and wife Rhonda of Coweta, OK; 1 daughter, Kandi Withers of Tulsa, OK; 1 sister, Barbara Vanbrunt of Wagoner, OK; 6 grandchildren, Kevin Withers and wife Sally, Keith Withers, Kretia Withers-Bristol and husband Devin, Megan Withers, Maleri Withers and Shyann Withers; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Viewing will be from 12 PM - 8 PM on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating Dan's life will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Ed Rutherford officiating.
