Obituary of Ricky Darrell Snelson, Sr.

Ricky Darrell “Rick” Snelson, Sr., age 65, of Porter, OK passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at his home in Porter, OK. Rick was born on October 22, 1950 to Howard and Irene (Hall) Snelson in Coweta, OK. He was a 1968 graduate of Coweta High School. He worked at Dresser-Rand as a Welder and Supervisor for 30 years until he retired in 2009. Rick and Connie (Harris) Snelson were married on November 26, 1988 in Tulsa, OK. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and visiting with people. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Ricky Darrell Snelson, Jr. and 1 sister, Georgia Dean. Rick is survived by his wife, Connie Snelson of the home in Porter, OK; 3 children, Josh Snelson and wife, Kate of Coweta, OK, Carletta Bumgarner and husband, Scott of Colorado Springs, CO and Diane Feck and husband, Dave of Missouri; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A celebration of Rick’s life will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the American Legion Post 226 in Coweta, OK.
