Obituary of Peggy L. McIntosh

Peggy L. McIntosh, age 73, longtime Coweta resident passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, November 18, 2015 at her home in Coweta, OK. Peggy was born on September 1, 1942 to Aubrey LaVerne and Margaret (Montgomery) Meadows in Cushing, OK. She was a 1960 graduate of Stroud High School. In 1971, she and Charles R. McIntosh were married in Coweta, OK. Peggy worked at the Coweta High School as Registrar for 37 years until she retired in 2012. She enjoyed collecting barbie dolls, depression glass and she loved Roy Rogers and Elvis Presley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Margaret Meadows and 1 brother, Ray Meadows. Peggy is lovingly survived by her husband, Charles R. McIntosh of the home in Coweta, OK; 5 children, Karen McCalib and husband, David of Jonestown, TX, John Cowden of Coweta, OK, Charles "Chip" McIntosh of Coweta, OK, Kim Cowden of Tulsa, OK and Lance McIntosh and wife, Tammy of Edmond, OK; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 nieces, Emily James and Sara Meadows; 1 nephew, Jerrod Meadows; and other relatives and a host of friends. Viewing will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating Peggy's life will be at 10 AM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones officiating. A private burial will be in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Corley, Sam Farmer, Henry Bias, Randy Craven, Doyle Burress and Terry Techau.
