I loved Ms. Kay! She has been at the gates since my oldest, Austin, started playing football in 3rd grade (who now is a Senior) and was always there. Austin said he was just talking to Ms. Kay the other day. Kay gave me one of her notepads that she made earlier this year during basketball season. I will always treasure it, because I know it was a gift from her heart which I knew the second she handed it to me - Absolutely priceless! I've always depended on seeing her when I went to each event. Kay will be greatly missed! Praying for peace and comfort for your family as truly a Great One has gone home. Dear Dennis, Matt, Mike and your families, I am so very sad for your loss, and mine too, Kay was one of my very "favorite" family members since I was 16 years old! There's not a soul who didn't love her, for she was a JEWEL....kind, sweet, loving, and always smiling and cheerful. She could light up a room with her presence! She loved her precious family and always told me how blessed she was by each of you. She loved her Lord and Savior, and it was evident by her life. I loved her very deeply and will miss her. I know she will get to see my Robert and so many others in Heaven. Wishing I could ease your pain, let me know if you need anything. All my love and prayers, Karen Hughes (Mauldin)
