Obituary of Shelia Marie Gilstrap

On October 31, 1961, a beautiful baby girl was born to Marie Evans and John Evans Sr. in Seattle, Washington. Sheila went to Jackson Elementary and graduated from Job Corp. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her favorited things to do as a young child was to run track, basketball and have fun with family and friends. Her father John Evans Sr., her mother Marie Evans, her brother, John Evans Jr., daughter Angla Nicole Gilstrap, her husband Author Lee Gilstrap precede her in death. She leaves to mourn her brother Robert “Stink” Evans, nephew Robert Evans Jr., her great aunt Mary Smith, her favorite cousin Shawntae Smith, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Sheila “She-ray” was a member of Wilson Chapel CME Church for a couple years and became an usher while attended.
