Obituary of Jerry Scott Price

Jerry Scott Price, age 78, of Broken Arrow passed away on Wednesday morning, July 2, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. Jerry was born on July 18, 1936 to Scott Lee and Corene (Holt) Price in Muskogee, OK. He was a graduate of Coweta High School. Jerry was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He and Ruth Mary Rivett were married on December 31, 1950 in Sapulpa, OK. Jerry worked at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft as a Mechanic for 15 years until he retired in 1993. He was a member of Pickett Prairie Baptist Church in Sapulpa, OK. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rick Price. Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Price of the home in Broken Arrow, OK; 2 sons, Lynn Price and wife, Tina, of Coweta, OK and John Scott Price of Broken Arrow, OK; 1 daughter, Tena Marie Robertson and husband, Dale, of Michigan; 1 brother, Jack Price of Owasso, OK; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 10 AM – 6 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at the funeral home. Services celebrating Jerry's life will be at 2 PM on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Pickett Prairie Baptist Church in Sapulpa, OK with Pastor Randy Parker and Pastor Bill Oldham officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Ronnie Wise, Wade Willhite, Billy Keiser, Coy Keiser, Cameron Keiser, Adam Price and Jerry Dale. Honorary Pallbearers are Sam Rivett, Steve Rivett, Dennis Hathcock, Jim Hinman, Dale Robertson and Jack Price.
