Obituary of Marie Freeman

Marie Freeman, age 94, of Coweta (formerly of Claremore) went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Broken Arrow, OK. Marie was born on May 2, 1921 to Robert Roy and Ida H. (Conway) Jones in Childress, TX. She and Johnny T. Freeman were married on May 21, 1942 in Fitchburg, MA. Marie was a beautician for most of her life until she retired at the age of 85. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta. She enjoyed playing cards, dominoes and she enjoyed being around people and spending time with her family. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny T. Freeman in 1995, her parents, Robert Roy and Ida H. Jones and 2 brothers, D.C. Jones and Robert Jones. Marie is survived by 3 children, Johnny M. Freeman and wife, Terri, of Coweta, OK, Betty J. Freeman-McKee and husband, Kirk, of Hot Springs Village, AR and Robert Ray Freeman of Columbus, KS; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie Heffer, Bryan Freeman, Troy McKee, Chris Houston, Brad Freeman and Melisa Freeman-Chronister; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Viewing will be from 6 PM – 8 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the funeral home. Services celebrating Marie's life will be at 10 AM on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Sharon Hopf officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, OK. Pallbearers are Bryan Freeman, Brad Freeman, Chris Houston, Troy McKee, Tommy Chronister and Eric Gallemore.
