Obituary of Patsy Loree Rampey
Patsy L. Rampey, age 83, of Broken Arrow, Okla. passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, June 9, 2015 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla. She was born on December 16, 1931 in the Choska Bottoms to John Samuel and Louella Katherine (Noblet) Wood.
Patsy was a graduate of Coweta High School. She and Willard Thomas Rampey were married on April 2, 1950 in Coweta, Okla. and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2009. Patsy was a homemaker for most of her life and loved taking care of her family. She had worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, Belco Paper Factory and HydraHose. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Coweta, Okla. She enjoyed doing word searches, watching game shows, bowling, gardening, canning and watching the hummingbirds.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Thomas Rampey, her parents, John Samuel and Louella Katherine Wood and 2 brothers, Gene Wood and J.T. Wood.
Patsy is survived by 5 daughters, Pamela Rampey of Broken Arrow, Okla., Linda Schwab and husband, Jack, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Priscilla Adams and husband, Reggie, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Suzanne Dolash and husband, Dale, of Holden, Mo. and Debbie Gonzalez and husband, Jim, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 6 sisters, Lomeda Hall of Coweta, Okla., Joella Rampey and husband, Clifford, of Skiatook, Okla., Nita Sturgeon and husband, Kirby, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Loretta Meadows and husband, Alden, of Coweta, Okla., Helen Hawkins of College Station, Tex. and Beverly Kuehn and husband, Edwin, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 9 AM – 7 PM on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family being present from 5 – 7 PM. Funeral services celebrating Patsy’s life will be at 11 AM on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Church of Christ in Coweta, Okla. with Rex Shrum officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Okla. Pallbearers are Jim Gunter, Justin Turner, Jeremy Gunter, Chandler Turner, David Rampey and Jerry Hall. Honorary Pallbearers are Kendall Meadows, Randall Meadows, Kevin Sturgeon, John Rampey, Mike Rampey, Johnny Wood, Gary Wood, Roy Wood, Paul Wood, Hugh Hawkins, Brad Sturgeon and Joe Hawkins.
