Obituary of Ludie M. Hobbs

Ludie M. Hobbs, age 97, resident of Coweta passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, August 13, 2014 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She was born on April 15, 1917 in Crawford County, AR to Benjamin and Kentucky (Moore) Taylor. She and Jack Hobbs were married on July 15, 1933 in Boynton, OK and he preceded her in death on March 11, 1991. Ludie worked at Mary Ann's Cafe and Green Parrot Cafe as a Waitress. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting. Ludie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 5 sisters and 1 adopted brother. She is survived by her son, Donald Hobbs and wife, Barbara, of Coweta, OK; 2 grandchildren, Keith Hobbs and Brad Hobbs; 6 great grandchildren, Tabatha, Randy, Robyn, Amber, Autumn and Sabrina; 8 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Viewing will be from 12 PM - 6 PM on Saturday, August 16, 2014 and 12 PM - 6 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2014 with the family greeting friends from 4 PM - 6 PM. Funeral services celebrating the life of Ludie will be at 10 AM on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Pastor D. Frank Hughes officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Jerry Tennison, Norman Tennison, Brad Hobbs and Randy Hobbs. Keith Hobbs will serve as a Honorary Pallbearer.
