Obituary of Rocky Lee Stone

Rocky Lee "Gadget" Stone, 63 year old Coweta resident, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 in Provo, Utah. Rocky was born on July 9, 1950 in Massillon, Ohio to Joseph Hughes Sharier and Elizabeth May (Messner) Speck. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam War. Rocky enlisted in the Marine Corps on May 26, 1969 and was honorably discharged on December 13, 1971. He worked as a self-employed security system technician and previously worked at A&H Security as a technician. Rocky was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Coweta and a retired member of the American Veterans Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed playing the guitar, writing songs, riding motorcycles, camping, fishing and most of all he loved spending time with his family. Rocky was preceded in death by his parents. Rocky is survived by 4 children, Crystal Elizabeth Stone of Provo, Utah, Emily Jennifer Hicks & husband, James A. Hicks Jr., of Newburg, Mo., Joshua Stone & wife, Taylor Jayne Stone, of McKinney, Tex. and Casey Stone Winner & husband, Robert Kyle Winner, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 1 sister, Laura Mae Corbett & husband, Thomas William Corbett, of Copley, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, James Clarence Hicks, John Oscar Hicks, Jude Lee Stone and Shiloh Jayne Stone; 1 nephew, Thomas Lee Corbett; his companion, Neva Hales and other relatives and friends. Viewing will be 2 PM to 4 PM on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. Memorial services celebrating Rocky's life will be 10 AM Monday, July 7, 2014 at Northside Free Will Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, Okla. with Pastor Greg Meadows officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be at 1:00 PM Monday, July 7, 2014 at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, Okla.
