Obituary of Raymond D. Brazille
Raymond D. "Ray" Brazille, age 80, of Coweta, OK passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, April 3, 2014 at Forest Hills Care and Rehab Center in Broken Arrow, OK. Ray was born on March 15, 1934 in Smithfield, TX and was the son of Arthur and Eula (Flippo) Brazille. He was a proud veteran, serving in the National Guard. Ray worked as a Motorcycle Dealer at Tulsa Triumph from 1968 to 1985. Since 1985, he has been a self-employed Antique Gun Dealer. Ray and Shelley Brazille were married on March 14, 2007 in Wagoner, OK. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta, a life member of the National Rifle Association, the Smith & Wesson Collectors Association and the COLT Association. Ray enjoyed riding motorcycles, guns and music. He was a world class motorcycle racer.
Ray is survived by his wife, Shelley Brazille of the home in Coweta, OK; 4 children, John Gwinnup & wife, Marie, of Coweta, OK, DeeAnn Slater of Jefferson City, MO, Patches Razo & husband, Jeff, of McAlester, OK and Rick Mayo & wife, Tiffany, of Boynton, OK; 3 grandchildren, Angie Fisher & husband, Sam, Jan Burr and Ann Dismang; 15 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur & Eula Brazille and 2 brothers, Charles Brazille & Bill Brazille.
Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening, April 5, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Ray's Life will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, April 7, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones officiating. A private burial will be in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta.
