Obituary of Morine Manns
Ms. Morine Ruth Manns was born April 7, 1957 to Louise and Damon Manns. Ms. Morine was the ninth child of sixteen children. Her parents, Louise and Damon Manns, two sisters, Carrie Manns and Regina Gordon, and two nieces, Delrease Sampson and Melissa Bekederemo preceded her in death. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and became a member of Jackson Grove Baptist Church. Later in life she became an active member of Northside Christ Gospel Church and held a position as an usher and a helper in the Royal Regiment Group. She received her education at Coweta High School in Coweta, Oklahoma. She worked in Tenkillers, Tahlequah with disabled children for several years. Later on in life she worked in the cleaning business at Royal Cleaners in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma until 1997. While working at Royal she also worked for Christian-Gavlik Funeral Home and Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home for over ten years until her health started failing her. Morine was a nurturing mother and an outgoing person. She was loyal and dedicated to her family and friends. She was known for her kind heart, warm sprit, and hospitality. Morine was always known for telling it like it was and keeping it real and saying it is what it is. Morine loved being around family and friends. She brought great joy and memories and she always talked about past events with everyone. She was a great blessing to everyone who knew her. Morine leaves to mourn, her three children, Anthony B. Manns of Coweta, OK, Latasha and Jason Manns of Broken Arrow, OK, and Jennifer C. and W.J.E. Asberry of Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren, Gabrielle L.N. Asberry, Rachael E. Asberry, Sammantha H. Asberry, J. Quartlind M. Manns, and Ladienna D. Manns; brother and sisters, Vernita Williams of California, James Manns of Tulsa, OK, Margaret and Darril Brannon of Coweta, OK, Vivian and Kenneth Mason of Tulsa, OK, Damon Manns Jr. and Charlene Thompson of Tulsa, OK, David Manns of Tulsa, OK, Eddie and Dee Manns of Tulsa, OK, Shirley Manns of Coweta, OK, Leroy and Sherry Manns of Muskogee, OK, Kim and Dennis Washington of North Carolina, Paul Manns and Cecilia Garcia of Tulsa, OK, Noel Anderson of Tulsa, OK, and Karen Manns-Younger and Preston Younger of Coweta, OK; aunts, Aunt Gussie Smith of Coweta, OK, Aunt Kathryn Hall of Muskogee, OK, and Aunt Ester Manns of Wichita, KS. She also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and relatives and friends. A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Morine Manns is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Wilson Chapel C.M.E. Church in Coweta, OK. The Rev. John W. Anderson will officiate the service.
