Obituary of Lillian Baldridge
Lillian “Bea” Baldridge, age 89, of Coweta passed from this life on Sunday evening, July 12, 2009 at the Sterling House in Broken Arrow. She was born on December 15, 1919 in Mayes County, OK to Luschion and Cora (Cooper) Compton. Bea received her education in the Wagoner school system and graduated from Wagoner High School in 1937. Later, she married Charles Thomas Hayes, Jr. and from that union Charles Thomas Hayes III was born. On January 15, 1960 in Bacliff, TX she and Bill D. Baldridge were united in marriage. Bea worked as a secretary for the City of Tulsa until her retirement in 1977. She lived in Tulsa until moving to Coweta three years ago. Bea attended the First Assembly of God in Coweta. Her hobbies included fishing, sewing, needle work, and she enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves. Bea was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Charlie Hayes, one step-daughter, Kathy Baldridge Siri, and two great grandchildren, Ashley Dickens and Dustin Reynolds. Bea is lovingly survived by her brother, Hoolie Compton of Chahalis,WA; four granddaughters, Teresa Cowles and her husband, Jerry Don, Kellie Shannon, Sonia Reynolds and her husband, Larry, all of Coweta, OK and Wakota “Koty” Long and her husband, Jason, of Ramona, OK; her great grandchildren, Magen Hilton and her husband, Brian, of Coweta, OK, Lacey Rogers and her husband, Jared of Owasso, OK, Casey Dickens, Cole Shannon, Kolby Reynolds, all of Coweta, OK, and Jasper and Braxton Long of Ramona, OK; four great-great grandchildren, Collins, Cooper, and Streeter Hilton of Coweta, OK and Holden Rogers of Owasso, OK; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery.
