Obituary of Donald Young

Donald Louis Young of Coweta departed this life on Friday morning, February 13, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years. He was born on July 10, 1951 in Coweta, Oklahoma to Ben and Margie (Clayton) Young. Donald was raised in Coweta and he attended Coweta Public Schools. He worked as a construction framer for 30 years. Donald’s hobbies included fishing, woodworking, doing yard work, and gardening. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Michael Duane Young, and his brother, Dennis Young. Donald is lovingly survived by his companion, Karen Roberts of the home; his sons, Donald Louis Young, Jr. of Tulsa and Dustin Lee Harris of Coweta; his daughters, Kimberly Michelle Young of Sand Springs, Amber Rae Pittman of Broken Arrow, and Autumn Dawn Harris of Coweta; his step-daughter, Angie Renea Clark of Broken Arrow; his brother, Darryl Young of Tahlequah; his sister, Debbie Young of Tulsa; 9 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. A memorial service for Donald will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Allan Swinson will officiate the service.
