Obituary of Ella Mae Burrows Sisney
Ella Mae Burrows Sisney of Coweta entered eternal life on Wednesday evening, January 21, 2009 at Coweta Manor Nursing Home at the age of 90 years. She was born on June 10, 1918 in Grimes, Oklahoma to Harry Kindig and Mable Flora (Flemming) Withers. Ella Mae was a loving, caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She grew up in Western Oklahoma and attended school until the 8th grade. In 1933, Ella Mae and Paul Jerome Burrows were united in marriage in Grimes, Oklahoma. In 1943, she moved from Western Oklahoma to Coweta, Oklahoma. Ella Mae was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Ella Mae enjoyed crocheting, traveling, gardening, and music. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Ella Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her 3 husbands, 1 son, Glen Burrows, 1 brother, and 1 sister. She is lovingly survived by her sons, Gordon Burrows and his wife, Linda, of Coweta, Wayne Burrows and his wife, Judy, of Wagoner, Richard Cecil Burrows of Wagoner, and Kenneth Burrows and his wife, Sharon, of Broken Arrow; her daughter, Wanda Hughes and her husband, Kenneth, of Coweta; her sister, Evelyn McCain of Sand Springs; 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends. The family will greet friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Wright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2009 at Towne & Country Christian Church in Coweta with Rev. Lynn Moss officiating.
