Obituary of Roger Watson
Roger Dean Watson, age 47, resident of Porter, OK passed away peacefully, after a long and courageous battle with cancer Friday evening, May 31, 2013 at his home in Porter, OK with his family at his bedside. Roger was born on May 21, 1966 in Tulsa, OK and was the son of Billy E. and Barbara (Woods) Watson. He was a 1984 graduate of Coweta High School. After graduating, he attended Okmulgee Tech where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. Roger and Stephanie LeAnn Brummett were united in marriage on May 22, 1998 in Eureka Springs, AR and she preceded him in death on September 17, 2005. Roger worked at English Color & Supply as a District Sales Rep. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his friends and family, especially his daughter. Roger will be missed as a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Roger is lovingly survived by his daughter, Sarah Michelle Watson of the home; his son, Steven Ra Watson of Tulsa, OK; his parents, Mitchell and Barbara Kent of Coweta, OK; his sissy, Teresa Kelley and husband, Chris, of Coweta, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Watson, his father, Billy Watson and his grandparents, Russell and Katy Woods and George and Viola Watson. The family will greet friends Monday evening, June 3, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Rev. Bobby Jenkins officiating and George Gore assisting. Burial will follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, OK. Pallbearers are Clint Geneva, Greg Hopper, Tom Brewer, Casey Dorsey, Bruce Jones and Scott Knight. Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Matthews, Johnny Masterson, Wyatt Murray and David Dickey. The family of Roger Watson entrusted his care & services to Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home, 210 S.
