Obituary of Patricia Hocutt
Patricia Anne Hocutt of Broken Arrow, age 65, a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Patricia was born on January 6, 1947 in Muskogee, OK and was the daughter of Paul E. and Evelynne Grace (Dykstra) Stringer. Patricia was a 1965 graduate of Coweta High School. Patricia attended Tulsa University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She and Billy G. Hocutt were united in marriage on June 11, 1965 in Coweta, OK. Patricia was a teacher at Southside Elementary School in Broken Arrow for 30 years until she retired in 2001. Patricia was a member of the Forest Ridge Baptist Church. Patricia was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. Patricia enjoyed helping with VBS, doing church work, reading the Bible, gardening, fishing, traveling, quilting, cooking and she loved spending time with her family. Patricia is lovingly survived by her husband of 47 years, Billy Hocutt of the home; her daughter, Cheri Ann Gotcher and husband, Patrick, of Claremore; her two sisters, Pam Martinez of Coweta and Paula Barnett and husband, Stephen, of Broken Arrow; three grandchildren, Spencer Gotcher, Jordan Gotcher and Christian Gotcher; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, July 20, 2012 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Funeral services for Patricia are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Forest Ridge Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK with Pastor Brent White officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Kristopher Rowe, Aaron Smith, Spencer Gotcher, Gary Paul Dodson, Joe Bill Higgins and Gary Gray.
