Obituary of Pauline W. Cole
Pauline W. Cole of Wagoner, OK, age 73, a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully Monday morning, February 13, 2012 at Muskogee Community Hospital in Muskogee, OK. Pauline was born on June 30, 1938 in Iola, Kansas and was the daughter of William Newton and Lena Ellen (Madison) Uitts. Pauline and Melvin Cole were married on October 8, 1983 and they later separated. Pauline was a homemaker for most of her life. Pauline was a member of the First Assembly of God in Wagoner, where she was active in the Golden Stars. Pauline enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family. Pauline is lovingly survived by four children, Doug Uitts of Iola, KS, Leslie Summers of Muskogee, OK, Lisa Burt of Wagoner, OK, and Tracy Akin of Topeka, KS; one brother, Charles Uitts of Chanute, KS; three sisters, Maxine Jones of Ottawa, KS, Joella Martha (Dodi) Dowell of Topeka, KS, and Patricia Longfellow of Ottawa, KS; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Mark Summers, one brother, Orville Leon Uitts, and three sisters, Minnie Alberta Uitts, Lucille Herman, and Lela Coplan. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, February 15, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services for Pauline Cole are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Tim Boyett officiating. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kansas. Pallbearers are Billy Burt, David Summers, Brandon House, Jimmy Summers, Roger Uitts, and Michael Helmer. Family and friends may sign the guest book on-line @ www.wrightbrownfunerals.com.
