Obituary of Wade Andersen

Cows, hay, family, and friends, the most important parts of life to an Oklahoma rancher. William Wade “Papa” Andersen, 69, a third generation farmer/rancher was no exception. To Wade, enjoying life and loving God deeply meant more than just words, it was his way of life. From the morning cup of coffee to the last glass of milk at night, he never wasted a moment. Each day to him was a chance to live life fully and to make lasting memories. Every person blessed enough to meet him instantly became a cherished friend. Wade thought everyone was special and loved each person fiercely. He had the rare gift of making people feel better, even if you just sat in silence with him. His relationships were genuine and the respect he gave real. Wade was born on August 26, 1940 to Viggo and Zelda Andersen in Tulsa, OK. He departed from this life on July 9, 2010. Wade lived in Coweta where he owned and operated Andersen’s Tater Hill Ranch and Andersen Plant farm. During his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching sports, and traveling. Wade is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, June; four children and their spouses, Whitney & Travis Fitzsimmons, Eddy Pack, Troy & Roxanne Pack, and Gina & Mike Missildine; nine grandchildren, Alicia, Ashley, Codey, Tiffany, Taryn, Corey, Maegan, Rachel, and Taylor; and three great-grandchildren. We remember him as Papa, the man with the bib overalls, ball caps, and a heart as big as Tater Hill Ranch; he will be forever missed. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow with Pastor Roger McDougal officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Family and friends may view the obituary and send condolences to Wade’s family online @ www.wrightfh.net.
